Florida native, Tom began serving his community in 2003 as a local police officer. Over the years he held such positions as Road Patrol Officer, SWAT Operator, Street Crimes Detective, and K-9 Handler. In 2015 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and was assigned as the SWAT Team Commander as well as taking on other leadership roles. In 2019 he was promoted to the rank of Captain where he supervised multiple different units. Tom has a Masters in Public Safety from UVA, he is a Graduate of FBINAA 286, and was awarded the FBI LEEDA Leadership Trilogy Award.
Most recently, Tom decided to change his trajectory and became employed with Blue Shield Wealth Management. His service-minded personality, work ethic, and dedication to community perfectly aligned with our goals and values. Tom continues to dedicate himself to educating, inspiring, and leading others he comes into contact with.
In 2025 Tom and his wife welcomed a baby girl to their family. He spends much of his time off enjoying the ride of parenting, woodworking in his garage workshop, and spending time with his family.
